At Mint House at the Divine Lorraine Hotel – Philadelphia, you will have a boutique experience highlighting architecturally stimulating one and two-bedroom units overlooking the Philadelphia skyline, with up to three times the space of a standard hotel room, full kitchens and spacious living areas for relaxing, entertaining and remote working.
As our guest, you have insider access to unique amenities and hot spots, including on-site destination dining at Cicala, an elegant Southern Italian restaurant (pastry chef Angela Cicala was a 2022 James Beard Foundation semi-finalist — this is not a place to skip dessert) and underground concepts, a subterranean restaurant group, co-created by Chef Natalie Maronski (Top Chef Finalist), comprised of a music, art and event space called broad hall; the daily coffee shop; and foundation, a cocktail lounge and dance club.
Constructed in the 1890s for Philadelphia’s most prominent families, the luxurious Lorraine Apartment building was once at the vanguard of 20th century urban life as one of the city’s first high-rises, and one of the first to have electricity and an elevator. Later, as The Divine Lorraine Hotel, it encapsulated historical significance as the first hotel in the U.S. to be fully racially integrated. Today, after a complete property transformation, the iconic residence, crowned by its infamous red neon sign, sits between the eclectic and diverse neighborhoods like Fishtown, Fairmount and Northern Liberties, are anchored by beloved Philly attractions and cultural institutions including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Franklin Institute, the Barnes Foundation, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Reading Terminal Market, the Philadelphia Zoo, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Mütter Museum.
